Hi all! I am doing a poll just for fun to see what you have to say about traditional/representational art versus contemporary/modern art. It will only take a sec. You can view the results and leave a message if you like. I would be thrilled if you would participate! I am really curious to see the results.

The link is - http://www.suite101.com/welcome.cfm/ illustration_and_illumination Look for the heading 'Polling Booth'

Cheers! Suzanne Hill

Unfotunately your poll doesn't actually explore traditional/representational art versus contemporary/modern art.

The statements that one can vote for only address attitudes and awareness of the 'return' of traditional art. In particular I can not vote for any item since I am glad to see traditional AND modern art. I cant simply vote for item 1 since it would appear that in your mind I would be saying that I'm glad for the 'return' of traditional at the expense of modern art. I mean thats what 'versus- against or alternative to' means doesnt it?

Also, the last statement one can vote for seems like a throwaway to me, but what do I know. I have often wanted to ask a pollster about how they construct polls, but never new how to contact one. I guess now is my chance! If you would be so kind, could you respond to this posting, or e-mail me?

True, I didn't have lots of time and space to really explore the various art forms, I was aware of that and I apologize if I misled anyone. It's only 'exploring' the mentioned art forms in the sense that those are the ones involved in the poll. The fifth choice was a throwaway - the poll required an 'other' choice. But as I mentioned, it was only meant for fun and to spark some discussion.

thanks, Suzanne
