Colour reversal paintings are extremely rare, with only a couple ever known to have been painted, one of which was by Kandinski

Now displaying a unique pair of paintings 'Peaceful Valley', the original and 'Peaceful Valley - Reversed' the colour reversal of the original.

'Peaceful Valley', the original had been hung until know in the artists own home, never before on view to the public. The second is the colour reversal of the original using colours taken from the opposite side of the spectrum.

Do you know of any other 'colour reversal' paintings

Yes, they are done by taking a color print photograph of a painting, then puting the negative in a slide projector and copying it.

Then we invent a fancy name for the process and peddle them to rich idiots.

If you really want to alter the colors, start by looking at the Blaue Reiter and Fauve schools.
