COULD THIS BE A REAL PICASSO PAINTING????????
21 Years ago i bought a print at an Estate Sale.
Recently, I visited a Museum in Europe that was featuring works of Picasso. One of the paintings at the museum had a very similar signature.
When i got back, i checked my print and discoved that it was actually painted on board from what looks like gouach. The back of the painting is Initialed and dated in Red Ink. Its a very old painting, the paper in the back is very old and browned. The signature in the lower right side has a number that looks like 22 right next to the signature. Looking at one of the pictures posted on the site by one of the members with headline . NEW PICASSO DISCOVERD ITS VERY SIMILAR THIS PICTURE ONLY THE COLORS ARE DIFFERENT. How can i have it Authenticated. I would appreciate anyone who can advice me.
I think you should contact a serious art appraiser and have him check your print.
Picasso dates his work most of the time it should have day. month.year but sometimes it can just have the year if its a print it should have an edition number blank/100 etc
