hi there,

I am an origamian and i try to classify origami as an art or not.

i have a basic question. does anybody know a common validity definition of art. what makes an object or a picture or a special dance to art.

is it the doing? is it the thinking and creating or is it both in one unit.

So much people call them selfs artists, but for me it is not clear who is a real artist.

i don't want any bad things. in my point of view it is important to define what we do. that helps to define us as single person.

if origami is not an art, we have to find an other similar word.

has one of you an idea how to define ART.

Your work sure looks like art to me! Especially the constructions & the shadows, plus the originality. Your website could be called a work of digital art as well. Bravo!
