Favorite "Odd" or "Strange" Technique

I always like trying new things when I am in a rut. So, I come to you all.
What if your favorite "odd" or "strange" technique you use in painting?

My last craze was gesso'ing anything with texture (rubber bands, cut up bubble wrap, etc.) and then staring at it until a picture or textured design came to eye/mind and then filling in the blanks/painting the numbers that the texture gave,

Mine was painting a painting and washing it out so it became all vague and 'mysterious'. Must honestly say that I gave up on it since it didn't make much impression even on myself.
