There are plenty of other ways to get your work seen by the non-internet-connected population.

Yes, they are attractive and in some ways, a requirement for the game art-investors play (Art-Opoly). But as in *every* game, there are 'cheats.'

For eg. I am in a situation where I am pretty much stuck in the house. So I'm working to become one of the 1st artists to successfully earn recognition through the internet.

As long as I have a phone, a website, and access to a post office - I don't see why this can't be done. And I certainly don't see what significance a 50%+ commission sniffer would have on my career.

After reading this - it looks a little contradictory, but it really isn't. I should have added that the internet is an avenue for people (net-connected) to move your art into physical stores, homes, etc. - anywhere where the non-net-connected population ventures.
