Would anyone recommend particular websites, books or institutions which can help me find grants to apply for?

Thank you.

Ask the reference librarian at your Public Library, assuming you're in the USA, for the various annual reference books that contain information on various types of grants.

I assume there is web site information too, but nothing to compare with the 'original' source at the library, I suspect.

I've already addressed the Public Library reference section as the 'first source' but let me emphasize why I did so. There are ANNUAL BOOKS published that have nothing but information on grant sources in them. And they are not exclusive to art-related grants, although I'm sure one can find the same that list 'only' art-related grants. The volumes I'm referring to have grants for all sorts of disciplines, from medical students to artist

Yeah! Lots listed, my eye!

Just as I wrote before: everything that is worth anything are SUBSCRIPTION services and commercial newsletters.

I looked through those links: pay or get nothing... And local councils + endowement programs are dead ends.

In order to get their meagre grants you'd spent MORE (valueable) time just collecting papers and writing documents to comply with their requirements.

???

I thought that was what you were complaining about. 'Paying' for something...

Don't subscription services and commercial newsletters require *payment*??

How so?

That's how grants work.
