Hmmm looks like taken from a picture book - when pictures for those books were made in pen sketches.

yes. I took it from a book cover. "Making Real Magic" by Richard Osterlind.
does anyone have any idea of the title for this picture and the painter?

luq_liong if so, the credit for this illustration must be given at the beginning or end of the book. It is common practice (I don't know differently) that ALL who has contributed to a book are credited.

I put it into TinEye - a reverse image lookup (just found it this morning) but the only answer it came up with is the book title - best way to find out is to check the book cover for credits or write to the publisher...
