Identifying a print

I probably can't help you with the print (especially if it is later 20th Century), but if you want to e-mail it to me I can put it on-line (brobeck at ns dot sympatico dot ca ).

OTOH, there is a very good print forum http://www.mtsu.edu/~art/printmaking/wwwboard/index.html where you might be able to chase down more info.

Write the German words that are at the top, and post them here. If you see a letter with two dots above it, write, for example 'u (two dots)'.

If it has words at the top, it may be an old poster for politics or a performance.

Also try to look for the signature at the bottom.

Try to describe the scene. If it is realist, then it must have identifiable objects that will identify the century.

If it is realist, what sort of costumes are the people wearing?
