The MA in Fine Arts department at Kent Insitute of Art and Design cordially invite you to the opening of their 2002 MA Degree Show 'Translations' and research artists exhibition 'Traverses' at 6pm on Friday 6th September at KIAD, New Dover Road, Canterbury. This years students have come to Canterbury to study from as far away as India, Singapore, Korea, China, Taiwan and USA and the cultural diversity of the group is fascinating.
Course leader, Richard Davies, says this about the show: 'This 2002 exhibition has all the signs of being a stimulating and important show of contemporary Fine Art. It represents artists who have chosen to come and study at The Kent Institute of Art and Design from many different parts of the world. During the early part of September we will host the work of a highly motivated group of international graduates and researchers who are, in the main, completing their masters study in Fine Art, or undertaking residencies or Phd Research. These diverse exhibitions will be on view around the Canterbury grounds from September 7th to the morning of 13th. I do hope you will be able to visit what promises to be a fascinating show and be part of our celebrations.'
