I have tried the dictionaries an other online sites but can't find a simple defintion for the following:

Open Composition:

Closed Composition:

Fixed Position:

If anyone knows where I can find the definitions of these words, please let me know and point me in the right direction. Also, please e-mail me the info. Thanks.

composition comes open, transcendental, when canvas is cut. fixed position is the situation when, say, for example sellotape is used to close the composition again. if you're too drunk and brush or palette- knife penetrates canvas the correct definition is 'open aired- composition'
