One way is to use a newsreader that understands graphics, like, say, the Mozilla browser. No doubt there is something similar in the Microsoft/IE ratbag, but I dislike M$ and don't use their stuff when I can avoid doing so, so I don't know. There are other GUI newsreaders as well, or so I hear.
Another, more tedious method, is to uudecode the pages (trn will do this for you) 'by hand' and, if necessary, move the images to someplace where you can see them in either a graphics editor, graphics display program, or browser.
I haven't found the images distributed in the News to be all that wonderful, but at least you can satisfy a yearning for Tijuana bibles without journeying to a disreputable
