Ummmmm... Do you think you could be a bit more descriptive. Indoor fire or outdoor fire? Sitting, standing, kneeling, reclining woman? Etc etc.

Albert Besnard did one titled Woman Warming Herself, 1866, I'm unclear if the link above is that painting or another similiar one.

OR IT MIGHT BE THIS: http://www.alfredbader.com/SinglePainting.cfm?ID=2260 Artist: Unknown

Price Range: Less Than: $10000.00

Title: Old Woman Warming Hands

Dimensions: 6 1/4 by 5 1/4 Inches

Description: Oil on panel. This delightful mid-seventeenth century painting is by an artist from Leiden, as yet unknown. In my experience a good name always come to such paintings, if only we have enough patience.

As I remember it, it is difficult to say whether it was an indoor or outdoor fire. The fire was in the foreground and the woman was behind it, maybe leaning over it. Together they were filling almost the whole picture, which had also some dark background.

Unfortunatelly I cannot say much more...

Thanks for the reply
