I am thinking of having offset prints made of my acrylic paintings and selling them directly. I live in a high tourist area. A minimum print run would cost about 46 cents (US) for each print. I am thinking of selling each print for $5 USD.

Issues that arise include whether, if I sell to individuals, I should bring along mailing tubes and postage to their home countries. Or if I sell to establishments, whether I should mat them in advance. I am not a sales type, so I hesitate to go this route, the alternative being to wait until I have enough original works for a gallery show. If anyone has any experience of this, I would appreciate a roadmap.

In other words be at the place where people who will buy art will be. I think I covered that in the original post. But in fact in terms of stationary businesses the dictum, 'Location, location, location,' is not really true.
