Some More Poster Boy

This is not quite news but I still thought it was worth posting about Poster Boy Remixes MoMA Subway Ads along with Doug Jaeger, the marketing executive who created the campaign for MoMA, and unlikely pair if ever their was one.

Jaeger says he’s nervous about the museum’s response, but stands by his actions. “I don’t know if they like for me to be saluting it,” he says of Poster Boy’s work. “But if someone who is getting acclaim as an artist does something to your campaign, does it make it less valuable or more valuable?”

I have a problem with this. There is something very twisted in this way of thinking, and I have more of a problem with it than I do with Poster Boys Work - which although officially criminal, certainly has its merrits…
