I make small wooden contructions and use yellow carpenters glue. They have held together (mostly). How will they holdup long term? Should I switch to hide glue or is there a better alternative?

Yellow carpenter's glue is the glue of choice for most furniture makers today. Some still swear by hyde glue but we're talking HOT hyde glue here
