Hey All, I'm trying to find information on the artist whose work I've owned 15 years. I'm told of 'The Benezet', as a reference guide. I can't find anything on it. Am I spelling it correctly. Can you help. ...or point me to another reference that might have a database on artists and their work. Thanks,

It is the 'Benezit' for short. Or 'E. Benezit: Dictionnaire des Peintres Sculpteurs Dessinateurs et Graveurs' There are even more extensive reference works such as 'Thieme Becker's Kuenstler Lexikon' Most people interested in researching an artwork are interested in $$'s. The best reference guide there is E, Mayer International Auction Records. It has literally hundreds of thousands listings. Ten http://www.tensart.com
