undocumented picasso i need help please

im new here im trying to authenticate this painting im having a hard time as my funds are quite low and everyone seems to charge an arm and a leg to do so at first glance this painting is very unique in terms of documented picasso's but when you get to looking at it there are so many hidden images in it along with a dog thats hes painted twice before any help would be greatly appreciated thank you for your time

I wish I could help you. You are not the first person through trying to authenticate a painting. I think it is sad that such an authentication should cost so much. Many paintings might go undocumented and get lost in time.
Bobwrites a great blog and has a deep love for art - maybe he would have some ideas or be able to help you out if you don't get what you are looking for here.

As you'll see by my picture, I'm in the same situation as you. I have a picture which I can't seem to get authenticated. You mention having to pay for this to be done. How much and by who?? I took my picture to all the big galleries in London and they didn't seem to want to know. I was led to believe they don't want more pictures unearthed as this will only devalue the ones that are out there and recognised. As picasso used to pay for EVERYTHING with his pictures, there are supposedly thousands out there. I am also told it is only the Picasso family who are able to authenticate any newly found works. How true this is I don't know. I've just discovered a new site that might help as well as this one, - 'onlinegalleries.com' I wish you good luck - more than I'm getting anyway!!

Peter - That is so disturbing to hear.As well as interesting. I have written to a lot of people on this matter, and non have gotten back to me - Keeping the value high makes a good explanation, - sad, but good.

I find the whole thing so very frustrating. The other chap I was talking to mentioned that he could get his picture authenticated but it would cost a lot of money. Do you know how or where I could take mine for the same thing, and any ideas how much it might cost?

the best thing for you would be to send a private message to jag0826, who is the other person, (just click on his name in the thread, or go to 'mingle around' on the left side bar) and ask him directly. I don't know anymore about it than what he posted here.
